"One winter's night, ... " is the second release of Elín Anna Steinarsdóttir, from Reykjavik (Iceland). A long piece (22 minutes) that works as a perfect sequel of her first album released on Entity ("Impressions").
In this work, Elín deepens all the elements that are latent in her previous production: field recordings, found sounds, noise waves, electronic textures. The use of the dramatisation and her conceptual sense allows her to build bridges between different languages, bringing to us powerful, intense electroacoustic music.

a mini EP would have worked
some promising sounds and short snippets of originality are present, but the whole journey tends to be unbearable. i would have preferred more variation. the winter's night could have been summarized in the ending two minutes, which are not bad after all.
